I use my Surface Pro 9 as a drawing tablet, but I am really missing the keyboard shortcuts. Can I use a wireless keyboard?

I use my Surface Pro 9 as a drawing tablet. To draw comfortably I must fold the keyboard away or remove it entirely. Unfortunately, I really rely on keyboard shortcuts to toggle tools, functions, layers, you name it. I am really, really missing the keyboard shortcuts. If I get a wireless keyboard, will I be able use it with my surface pro 9 without compromising the functionality of my slim pen?

    Hi Teal Sallen,

We appreciate your active participation in the Microsoft Community. Yes, you can use a wireless keyboard with your Surface Pro 9 without compromising the functionality of your slim pen. You can connect a wireless keyboard to your Surface Pro 9 via Bluetooth or USB daggle. Once connected, you can use the keyboard shortcuts to toggle tools, functions, layers, and more while drawing on your Surface Pro 9. Just make sure that the wireless keyboard you choose is compatible with your Surface Pro 9 and that you follow the manufacturer's instructions for connecting it to your device.

Thanks again for choosing Microsoft. Hope this helps!

    Kind regards.

    Christopher
