Surface Laptop 7th edition Snapdragon x Elite just bought comes with a non compliant version of Windows 24H2

Good Afternoon,

I did open a ticket in regards to this situation and one of your colleagues sent me .

We bought a Surface 7th edition Snapdragon x Elite for the business and the version of Windows that currently has is non compliant version which is the 24H2.

I requested that we need an image of the 23H2 version and that was denied .

This is very worrying situation as its a brand new device that its becoming very difficult to get support from anyone to solve this .

On your website I only have a 24H2 version to download as an image to the surface.

Can someone post me the link to the image to download which only installs 23H2 Windows version???

    Thanks for updating the title. I also moved this post from Surface Pro to Surface Laptop, since it is clear now what you purchased.

    You are correct, the supported minimum operating system for Surface Laptop 7th edition is:

    - Windows 11, Version 24H2 build 26100 and later

    ... but, as you already know, there is no supported OS or image before this.

    If 23H2 is required in your business, you can use the link above and our page at Compare Surface Computers and Business Devices - Microsoft Surface for Business to find a device that is better suited.

    24H2 its not compliant in my business yet it was one of the requirements when I got the device but judging with what you say all of this devices come shipped with that version which is very unfortunate

    I kind of doubt you're going to find an image of 23H2 that works with the Surface Laptop 7th gen. Those all shipped with 24H2 over six months ago now. I could be wrong. Why do you need an old version? In what way is it non-compliant?

    Surface Pro 7 is an old device. Are you sure that is the device you just purchased? Can you check? Here is how Find out which Surface model you have - Microsoft Support
