Hi

MY surface pro says that the headphones are paired yet the sound is still coming from the tablet.

Please send instructions on how to pair effectively so that my headphones work.

THank you!

    Hi MichaelBrodsky1,

Thank you for reaching out Microsoft Community.

To get the headphone paired to the Surface device, you'll have to turn on Bluetooth on both ends and do the pairing instruction based on headphone's specification.  I am only certain to Surface Headphone getting it paired to a Surface device but for pairing Bose headphone, you might need to access their support site for instructions. You can search " Pairing the headphones with your device - Bose " to get a detailed instruction on how you can pair it successfully.

If this appears paired on your Surface device right now, there's a need for you to unpair it by removing the device and re-pair it again. The status should change from paired to connected. If that what it shows after re-pairing it and still the sound is coming from the tablet, please let us know the model of this Bose headphone so we could check if this is compatible with the device Bluetooth technology.

You can also do the following troubleshooting below.

    Open Device Manager

    Expand Bluetooth

Look for Marvell AVASTAR Bluetooth Radio Adapter, right-click and select "uninstall device". If there's a pop-up before you can uninstall the driver, please leave the box uncheked and just uninstall it. Then, restart your Surface device to reinstall the driver automatically. Lastly, unpair and re-pair it again.

If this helps, feel free to mark this post as an answer. Otherwise, don't hesitate to respond to this thread and include the model of your Bose Headphone or its specific description so I can further check its compatibility to the Surface device.

    Kind Regards,

    Crest_Z
