Hey Microsoft Community,

When using a wireless mouse for a Surface Pro 7, which saves power more between a USB dongle or Bluetooth?

Just wondering about this, as my wireless mouse's power just ran out...

    Hello, KevinPark91.

    Welcome to Microsoft Community!

When using Surface Pro 7, a Bluetooth mouse is typically more power efficient than a 2.4GHz wireless mouse with a receiver. This is because Bluetooth mice utilize Adaptive FM technology, which adjusts power consumption as needed to extend battery life. Additionally, Bluetooth mice do not need to occupy a USB port, which is an advantage for devices with limited ports like the Surface Pro 7.

If you need higher responsiveness and stability, especially for jobs or people that require quick reactions, a wireless mouse with a receiver may perform better.
