    Hi Paul,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I understand you're having issues with your Surface Pro 9 keyboard, which displays the quote mark instead of the @ sign when you hit the shift + 2 key. It sounds like your keyboard layout may be set to a different language or region.

    • May I ask which language your device is set to, English (US) or English (UK)?

To change your keyboard layout to the correct one, please follow these steps:

    1. Click on the Start menu and select "Settings."
    2. Click on "Time & Language."
    3. Click on "Language" in the left-hand menu.
    4. Under "Preferred languages," click on the language you want to use.
    5. Click on "Options."
    6. Under "Keyboards," click on "Add a keyboard."
    7. Select the keyboard layout you want to use.
    8. Remove any other keyboard layouts that you don't need.

Once you have set the correct keyboard layout, you should be able to type the at symbol by pressing shift + 2.

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you can try disabling Sticky Keys, Toggle Keys, and Filter Keys in the Ease of Access settings.

I hope the provided solution works for you. I look forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards,

    Lavenia
