Hi,
There seems no known way to disable the Thumbnail cache in Windows 10 but I found it could work in Windows 7, you can check if it could work at your side:
https://superuser.com/questions/2345/how-can-i-suppress-those-annoying-thumbs-db-files-in-windows-vista-and-windows-7
Here are some methods to clear the Thumbnail cache in windows 10 and you can also try those in that doc you posted:
https://www.winhelponline.com/blog/clear-thumbnail-cache-windows/
Also there is a free tool called Icaros which uses ffmpeg to rapidly generate thumbnails for file explorer. It also has an option to set up its own user-controlled thumbnail cache. Maybe you can have a try.
Thanks for your time!
Best Regards,
Mico Mi
