Surface Go 2 Slow to the point of not being usable

I recently got a surface go 2 in December. For a few months after I got it, it worked fine. The last few months, however, it has gotten slower and doesn't respond. Recently it has gotten to the point where I cannot update it or try the recommended help. It was bought brand new. These issues are making it extremely difficult to do school and business work. This was the whole reason I went with a Surface over another brand, but it is hard for me to find support for this.

    Hi ,

@stevenK_M i am affaid ( to stay polite ) that I am facing the exact same issue as the original reporter of this problem of performances on My Microsoft surface GO 2.

Let me precise that it was upgraded from a windows 10 S to Windows 11 ( I supposed it stayed as a "S" mode too ) ?

Now after verifying of courser that I did all the Firmware as software update, I cannot anymore use even the edge web browser in a normal usage.

I am severally disappointed by the lack of quality now I am being served by Microsoft.

Please report this to the team in charge of the Surface Go product line & software.

    BR,

    Arnaud

I'm in the same boat as well. Bought a Surface for Christmas 2021 and now is it unusable due to performance. It appears that Edge consumes all the resources at startup.

The paid agents 'close' threads after 72 hours without a response, so this agent 'closed' he thread on March 25th, so no paid agent is reading/reviewing this thread. If you start a new thread (and copy and paste if you want from here), you MIGHT get a response.

But so far we didn’t hear back from any Msft support here.

Still prove the disappointment I have regarding the Surface Brand lack of support.

    Hi Pavel,

But unfortunately it looses all its interest to had a S mode on those devices. As they were sold with this great feature / purpose of having this version of the OS.

So for my use it won’t meet my needs.

But so far we didn’t hear back from any Msft support here.

Still prove the disappointment I have regarding the Surface Brand lack of support.
