I am a US citizen living in the UK. My surface keyboard is for US users. How would I get the symbol for Pound Sterling to show or be available?

    Hi RobertJohnson-043,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Community.

Just to make sure, you mean this symbol for Pound Sterling "£"?

Usually, on a normal keyboard where we have the Numpad, we could just use the shortcut Alt + 0163. On our case here where we have no Numpad on the Surface Pro 4 typecover, you may use the Touch keyboard. Click the Touch keyboard icon on the right-hand side of your Taskbar. If you don't have the Touch keyboard icon yet, right-click on the Taskbar and select Show touch keyboard button.

Once you have the Touch keyboard on the screen, press the number key on the lower left corner.

You may then press and hold the "$" key and other currency options will appear on top then select the "£" symbol to input. Or you may click the next page key and you'll have the key for "£"
