    Hello, Stan__H.

    Thank you for your reply.

I see, you want to know about the Surface Go's release plans in the future.

Surface products are small, portable, and powerful devices, and Microsoft designers and engineers are always designing and developing products that work better.

While there is no direct word on when the Surface Go 5 will be released, I'm sure it won't be discontinued. I'm sure we'll also be able to see the release of Surface Go 8, Surface Laptop 10 and more in the future.

Microsoft usually releases new products in the fall or spring of each year, so you can expect announcements that may be relevant in the coming months.

If you have a particular expectation or need for the Surface Go 5, you can keep an eye on Microsoft's official website or subscribe to the newsletter to be the first to get the latest information.

Thank you for your interest in Surface products.

    Best Regards.

Surface Go 4 is sold as business device only (but several stores do offer them as well):

Best if possible to buy on sales days like Black Friday as they usually offer good discounts.

Not any surprise, but this forum wouldn't get you useful rumors on new generation of Surface devices.

I don't believe there is a switch to ARM, highly likely you'll see future Surface devices in 2025 with Intel as well (including Pro). Similar as last year when both were offered. The main selling point is much improved battery life and ARM compatibility and performance has improved a bit. But there could be always some driver/app that does not work, so good to have return policy to try first.

You can still buy the Surface Pro 10 with Intel from business store.

Basically they have been marketing the Surface Laptop Go instead for students last few years.

They just started Surface deals for December month, so larger Pro is now a bit cheaper with a keyboard.

Smaller windows tablets are more niche unfortunately, but I hope we'll see Surface Go with QC chipset one day.

    Hello, Stan__H.

    Welcome to Microsoft Community!

I understand that you would like to know information related to the discontinuation of the Surface Go series. Allow me to share the following with you.

There are currently 4 generations of Surface Go series launched. From Surface Go to Surface Go 4, only the first generation Surface Go has been discontinued in May this year, and Microsoft has yet to release information about the discontinuation date and plans for the subsequent products. But predictably, the next device to be discontinued will be the Surface Go 2.

Out-of-warranty repairs will no longer be available for discontinued devices.

Above is the information about the discontinuation of Surface products.

I hope the information I have shared with you can help you and thank you for your interest in Surface products.

If you have questions about other Surface products, please feel free to ask!

    Good day.

    Best Regards.
