Are Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter V2 now end of life.
Are Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter V2 now end of life. I cannot see any in stock anywhere, including various Microsoft stores internationally, yet no announcement from MS regarding this to say they are discontinued.
I need to know if I now have to swap all of ours for another product to keep things all the same?

This article is misleading; it's just using a clickbait title. It didn't reach anyone from Microsoft for an answer about the WDA. The writer just assumed based on other announcements the company has made. It cannot be verified from this article, which contains no actual reporting on the subject of the product in question that it has been officially discontinued.
In case it's helpful in the meantime, what I went with as a replacement since the WDA is currently unavailable is the J5create JVAW56. I've tested myself and confirmed that it will work as a drop-in replacement for the WDA. It does have the ability to connect to Wi-Fi and support additional features the WDA doesn't such as AirPlay, but straight out of the box, without connecting it to anything, it will just work the same way the WDA does over Miracast. Hopefully this helps someone, regardless of the fate of the MSWDA line.

For anyone looking at this in the future, my distributer is saying that they have been told by the MS sales reps that both devices have been discontinued.

2023-10-03T21:01:21+00:00 Hi Lavenia,
Thank you for your reply.
I am still unsure what the story with MS wireless display adapters is. Is there any way (or anyone at) Microsoft that can tell me:
- Why they are no longer available?
- If they will return to sale and if so when?
Or - If a newer alternative is about to be available?
- Or are Microsoft simply abandoning this line of product?
I look forward to a reply and clarification of this.
Thanks and regards,
Andrew McA

2023-10-03T00:56:40+00:00 Hi and thanks Lavinia,
Actually, these 4k adapters are out of stock too. They are I believe, the v2 I was referring to, but I might have had the name wrong.
Anyway, they seem to have disappeared off the inventories of all our suppliers! and the Microsoft stores. I am just trialing a EZCast 4K display adapter which looks ok, but I would have preferred to have stayed with the MS version.
Anyway, thanks for your reply
