Just purchased a new surface pro x but I can't get my meta trader 4 to open due to being "not compatible". Can anyone help me out?

It should run just fine. I've tested it several times on my Pro X in response to this thread.

Could you post a screenshot of the error? I assume you are able to install it without error? I don't actually use the app myself, so what I've tried is what is available to download (as opposed to some older version you might have previously downloaded) - I've tried a late build of version 4 (back in November) and now version 5 which is what is currently available to download now.

I just installed it again and it opens just fine:

    Hi Fxlou,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Community and posting your inquiry.

We went through bing.com and search the compatibility requirements of the app and found the details below:

    • Windows 7, 8, 10
    • CPU at least 2,000 MHz
    • 512 MB RAM
    • 60 MB Hard Disk

Surface Pro X is a Windows 10 ARM based device. 64-bit (x64) apps would need emulation support to run. Without 64-bit emulation, only 64-bit (ARM64), 32-bit (ARM32) or 32-bit (x86) (using x86 emulation) apps/drivers will run on the device. Please contact the app developer support to check if an ARM compatible version of the app/driver is available. You may see this page for more details:  Surface Pro X apps compatibility.
