Dirt Underneath Trackpad

Up until the last few weeks, my trackpad has been working fine. But recently when I click down, both left click and right click, its a lot more tough. I'm pretty sure its an issue with the hardware and not anything else, because I can sort of 'move the dirt around' by clicking forcefully while holding my laptop upside down. Also, just lightly touching the trackpad always works, so its just the click and not some sort of driver issue. At this point the left click barely works unless I click pretty hard and the right click is non-functional.

Is there anything I can do to get it out? It's driving me insane since I use this laptop a lot.

    Thank you for the response,

I am waiting until my exams finish to do anything with my laptop which run until the end of next week, so I'll reply when I'm done.

Thank you for posting your inquiry here in Microsoft Community, Tomas Stoneley.

I'm sorry to hear that the trackpad hardly works because of dirt. We do not suggest to open and clean that trackpad area by your own. This is to avoid any kind of potential damage on other parts if it's not performed properly.
