Hi Team,
I am experiencing the same issue - my company got this laptop for me a couple of months ago and the hinge started making the clicking sound after a month.
I just got of the phone with Microsoft support (UK) and was told that the only way forward was for me to send the laptop back and get a refurbished one. If the laptop was dropped the company might have to pay for the exchange if not it would be free. I haven't
damaged the machine in any way so not worried about additional payment but the fact that the laptop must be exchanged with a 2nd hand machine despite the issue having nothing to do with me is a bit strange. Also for this to happen I have to send the laptop
back and will receive the "replacement" in 5-8 working days. This is not a personal laptop - am I supposed to take a week off ?
Can you please confirm this is the case as it sounds a bit unorthodox ?
I can provide the laptop serial number if need be.
Regards,
Anton
