I bought my surface laptop 2 around a year ago and my alcantara keyboard is starting to peel off...Is there anyone facing the same problem? If yes, how did you fix it?Since the Laptop 3 is out, is there any way to change the keyboard like that one instead of the alcantara material?Or possible to change the keyboards like the Surface Pros?

This is a really lame response from Microsoft. Thanks for telling the OP that his/her warranty is voided without providing any assistance on the actual problem.

I care because I have THE SAME PROBLEM. My keyboard still works, as does the laptop, but the keyboard is becoming unglued from the computer. There is a gap now. on both the right and left sides. It's probably as simple as the glue holding to the keyboard to the computer no longer sticking.

I was wondering what I can do about it. But it sounds like all you'll tell me is that I've voided the warranty. That's not helpful, or even particularly Germaine.

Very disappointing answer from Microsoft team. I am experiencing the same problem. I should have better bought the apple product instead of this buying low quality laptop. The Microsoft is not even able to provide a good keyboard. i didn't expect this type of product from Microsoft and even more such a rude reply on this issue. I recommend everyone not to buy this Microsoft laptop.

I request Microsoft to not release this type of third quality products in which you can't even provide a good quality glue for the keyboard.

    Thank you

It honestly is so disappointing. I cant even do anything about it, maybe after it comes off totally I might have to buy a whole new laptop all over again. The worst part is that the keyboard is irreplaceable. If I knew about this problem before, I'd have rather gone for a Surface 5/6, that way even if the keyboard went bad, atleast it was replaceable.

Microsoft should really come up with something to replace the keyboard in the laptop once it keeps coming off and goes all dirty. I have no problem paying for a keyboard to be honest, but buying a whole new laptop just for a keyboard is just plain sad.

I really hope Microsoft comes up with something...

This is a common issue and not specific to just few.. so Microsoft should address it

The saddest part is that for the most part, Microsoft support personnel don't even understand the question.. let alone the answer!! Surface Keyboard cover peeling off is a common problem, and strangely Microsoft has not found a solution!! If they really care about an eco-friendly environment-friendly solution, they should have a way to recycle the peeled off keyboard at say 25 to 30% of its value. This way the consumers dont feel the pinch.
