Pressure Sensitivity Not Working for Clip Studio Paint

I just recently (today) got my Surface Laptop Studio with a Surface Slim Pen 2. I plan to use these products for my drawing programs, both for hobbies and for school. My pen connects easily with my laptop, and the pressure sensitivity works with the windows apps; however, it won't work with Clip Studio Paint EX - it acts as though it doesn't have any pressure sensitivity at all, when it should. Is there any way for this to get fixed? I've tried many options, but it seems like none of them are working.

I have to set this up whenever I install Clip. Go to File>>>Preferences>>>Tablet and toggle from Wintab to TabletPC and save. Then be sure to adjust your pen pressure settings under File>>> Pen Pressure Settings.

I also recommend you configure your sensitivity in the Surface app for your pen.

My other tip is to adjust the Stabilization setting on the individual pens you ink and paint with (located in the Tool Property Menu for that tool) until you get the right feel. Dialing that in helps with the N-Trig jitters and with lag on your brushes and pens!

It might need the Wintab drivers. Old, unsupported versions are at Download Surface Book Drivers and Firmware from Official Microsoft Download Center which work for Surface Book. Use at your own risk as not tested with SLS.

Thanks so much, it seems to have helped some people! I can't change to TabletPC, this option is inactive... Do you maybe have some info on how to fix this?

    Hmmm,

First, make sure to check for all updates, restart, and see if the option then becomes available.

Second, Barb listed above a link to update drivers and firmware for the Surface Studio. Re-installing those drivers may help you out if an update mucked them up.

Lastly, re-installing Clip may be helpful after the latest drivers are in place.

I would also reflect on whether you have any drivers or other software installed that would conflict or block the switch to TabletPC.

Good luck, Clip runs really well in TabletPC across all my Surface devices. I hope you get it running smoothly with pressure sensitivity.
