Surface 3 Laptop audio jack specification

Surface 3 Laptop 15"

Is the 3.5mm audio jack wired to CTIA or OMTP standard please?

I want to purchase the correct TRRS to 2 x TRS break out cables so that I can put a line level input IN and monitor it on the headphone OUT.

My device is still in warranty so I do not want to poke the wrong jack in it!

regards

Pete B

    Hi pberry24,

Thank you for posting this concern of yours here in Microsoft Community. We're sorry for the delayed response.

The 3.5mm audio jack uses CTIA pin assignment (left, right, ground, mic).

Follow-up.  Am I right that the jack will NOT function as a stereo "line in" input?
