Surface X pro: how to upgrade processor?

Anonymous

I've just acquired a surface X pro with sq1 processor -

Can I ask Microsoft to upgrade the processor for me to the sq2 (for whatever fee)?

Can I hypothetically* swap the sq1 processor for an sq2 processor (similar to swapping processors on a pc)?

Is the sq2 processor even compatible with the motherboard in the sq1 version?

The custom SQ chips are not sold separately and there are no official technical guides. iFixit has a teardown Microsoft Surface Pro X Teardown - iFixit - even Microsoft does not swap out processors in these devices. Sorry, but that is all the info I have.

    Thankyou for the reply.

Do you mean the processor is not upgradable or replaceable in the same way the SSD or screen is not upgradable/replacable (without a technician)

Or do you mean it's not upgradable or replacable - because the motherboard can only accept sq1?

Sorry, the processors are not upgradeable or replaceable on any Surface device.
