I tried all of these and the same thing happens. After pairing and using the device then doing a reboot, it still shows connected but the keyboard doesn't work.
If I remove the device and re-pair, it works again.

I have 3 identical Surface Pro 7 units and one bluetooth keyboard. On one of the units I do the following:
Any ideas on how to fix this? I've cleared the Bluetooth cache, updated all the drivers and even reinstalled Windows 10 and it still happens.

I'm using a Brydge 12.3 Pro+ keyboard. Brydge 12.3 Pro+ Wireless Keyboard with Touchpad for Surface Pro 4, 5, It only pairs with one device at a time so I remove the device completely and re-pair it when I connect to a different Surface. On 2 of the units, everything works fine after re-pairing the device but on one device, after a reboot the keyboard says it is connected but doesn't work. I can remove it and re-pair again and it works but it just becomes a hassle.

Thanks - I tried this and I still have the same issue. I've spent a lot of hours reinstalling Windows 10 multiple ways so I'm just going to accept that the bluetooth keyboard won't work properly with that machine.
Are you saying you have a single bluetooth keyboard that you are sharing with 3 SP7'S? Which exact Bluetooth keyboard? (Trying to determine if the keyboard has a limit on how many computers it will pair with).
Thanks for posting your concern here, newstylenow. We're sorry to learn about this issue on your device.
If a Bluetooth device gets disconnected and stopped working, it may be due to a driver issue or software conflict. Please give these methods a try to isolate the issue:
If issue persists, **disable and enable Bluetooth in UEFI.**See How to get to the UEFI settings on a Surface for more details. Once you're in UEFI, go to **Devices,**disable Wi-Fi & Bluetoothfor at least 15 seconds and then back to enable. Click Exit and Restart device.
