Is there any way to find if my OS is Windows 10 Enterprise E3 or E5.

We don't have Microsoft 365 E5. However, we have Windows 10 Enterprise, Office 365 e5 and eMS E3.

I have used slmgr /dli, slmgr/dlv from cmd prompt to get the following output [attached].

Thanks

    Thanks for all your effort.

After chasing MS on several fronts, I came to know that the Windows 10 Enterprise version I have is neither E3 or E5 but a standalone.

I have also found that it will not be possible to know to find if you have Windows Enterprise E3 or E5 or standalone using PowerShell or command prompt cmdlets [f you are a CSP you may be able to find it for your customers]

Partners who get IUR licenses from Microsoft through competencies should refer to this link to see what benefits they are entitled to based on their competency level.

    https://partner.microsoft.com/en-GB/membership/internal-use-software
    https://assetsprod.microsoft.com/en-gb/mpn-maps-software-iur-competency-license-table.docx

Only "Windows and Devices" competency "silver" or "gold" gives Windows Enterprise E5. If you don't have "Windows and Devices" competency, and if you haven't purchased these licenses, then you don't have Windows 10 Enterprise E5.

PS: My original requirement was to be license compliant for using Microsoft Defender for Endpoint. One of the license requirement is to have Windows Enterprise E5. I circumvented this by using our newly acquired "Microsoft 365 E5 licenses"

From your PC it is only Windows 10 Enterprise and there is no model like E3 or E5 from your device.
You need to check with administrator who assigned you the license and in their dashboard , they would see what license assigned to who.

    Hi @Syed Palayathar ,

There is no Windows 10 Enterprise E3 or E5, based on your screenshot, you have a MAK licence for Enterprise edition.

E3 or E5 are related to a Microsoft 365 subscriptions.

I understood your need @Syed Palayathar , but unfortunately, the only verification in the official documentation is the check in Activation menu under Windows Settings, see the following:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/deploy-enterprise-licenses#step-4-verify-that-enterprise-edition-is-enabled

If you are planing for Windows Defender ATP, you need one of the following licences:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security/threat-protection/microsoft-defender-atp/minimum-requirements#licensing-requirements

I would recommend to you to contact directly your MS Technical Account Manager or MS Partner to know exactly which Windows 10 Enterprise licence you have.

    Thanks, Guys

I do understand that Microsoft offers Office 365 E3/E5, EMS E3/E5 Microsoft 365 E3/E5, etc. Our tenant has Office 365 E5, EMS E3 but not Microsoft E3/E5 [this offers additional benefits such as Windows 10 licenses, Endpoint protection, etc]. But we do have Windows 10 Enterprise licenses offered via partner portal.

However, MS also offers Windows Enterprise in E3 and E5. Kindly see the screenshot.

I need this information because we want to implement Microsoft defender ATP. The license requirement for that product is listed here. We don't have any of those listed licenses. However, I manage to onboard devices via Microsoft Endpoint manager. I want to know why it works, even though I can't see any licenses on our Azure tenant for Microsoft defender ATP. hence I thought, it is possible that my OS was Windows 10 Enterprise E5 [as this includes Microsoft Defender ATP feature]. Hence my question. Thanks for your efforts
