Sorry, no. Microsoft added Thunderbolt and EPGU support with the SP8, but there is no way to do this on SP7.
Can I use an external graphics card on my Surface Pro 7?
Background: I have had my Surface Pro **** 7 for about a year now, and it has done wonders for me, and it was my first pc. I have done several mods like tampering with thermals, trying to under-volt, and adding and updating graphics drivers to kick off my CPU's performance from 1.10 GHZ to a base speed of 1.50GHZ, and an average of 2.5-3.7GHZ under stress. My version of the surface is the i5-1035G4, 8GB ram, and 128GB storage.
Question: Can I use an external graphics card on my Surface Pro 7? So I have been wanting to improve my VRAM, because right now, it is at 128MB (refer to picture below). I am fully aware that the Surface Pro 7 has only a USB-C port, and not a thunderbolt 3 port (which is required for EGPUs). My seconds part question is, can it ever support some kind of EGPU? (Like can I use adapters, other hardware mixes, or drivers to make an EGPU possible?
Thank you,
Matthew Atkins
