I have the Surface Book 2 and I cannot turn the keyboard backlight off. How do I do this without function keys?

2022-09-25T15:49:03+00:00 Hi Debra Lee Williamson,
Thank you for reaching Microsoft Community. We're sorry for the trouble this has caused you.
Hitting the F7 key without the function key selected is the easiest way to adjust the keyboard backlight. But, if using that key didn't work you may try to follow the steps below.
1. Type Control panel in the search bar and open it, then look for Windows mobility center.
2. Open Hardware and sound section.
3. Open the Windows Mobility Center, and you will see a few options. Move the slider under the Keyboard backlight tab to the left to turn off the backlight.
If that still didn't work try to run the Keyboard troubleshooter and try to do the steps again.
Let me know how it goes.
Kind regards,
Lavenia
