Type C Earphones not working with Surface Pro 9

Hey community.

I recently purchased Microsoft Surface Pro 9 (Intel i5/256/16). Since the surface has both type C ports, I had my OnePlus Type-C Bullets Earphones connect in one of those ports. However, the device didn't recognize the earphones as media output device. I tried both the ports, none worked. Please help me with resolving the issue.

Thank You.

Unplug other USB devices, including the hub then -

    Microsoft states you should try:

Note that every once in a while, I've seen posts where customers with various brands of USB-C earbuds made primarily for cell phones just don't seem to work with Windows laptops (not just Surface).

For some reason, the image you included does not display here. Do other USB-C devices work for you?

Under control panel, hardware and sounds, my headphones is not shown.

Totally meaningless and incorrect. Amazon.com: OnePlus 7 Pro 6T Type-C Bullets Earphones in-Ear Headset & Mic Earbuds Black : Electronics - these are one of many USB-C earphones where a USB-C cable has replaced the "traditional" cable with headphone jack. These should work on any computer with a USB-C port, Thunderbolt or not.

Does this earphone support USB-C with USB 4.0/ Thunderbolt™ 4 cable?

I need the following details to help us isolate the problem as this might be a compatibility issue.

    Hi Ketan Ingale1,

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Community. We appreciate for sharing your concern to us.

Will you check Control panel under sounds category and see if the earphone is not hidden?

Open Control Panel >> Hardware and sounds.

Also check device manager for driver USB driver error, if a USB driver is showing yellow triangle mark try to update the driver if that still doesn't uninstall/reinstall the driver. You can send a photo on your response if a driver is showing in Device manager when the earphone is plugged in.

Does this earphone support USB-C with USB 4.0/ Thunderbolt™ 4 cable?

I need the following details to help us isolate the problem as this might be a compatibility issue. You may also reach out the manufacturer (OnePlus) to confirm its feature and devices that are compatible with the earphone.

I hope to hear from you soon.

    Kind regards,

    Lavenia
