How to get 2 External monitors to work with surface book 3, via using a 2 display cable to USBC adapter

I have 2 Lenovo monitors and have connected them to my Surface Book 3 via a usbc x 2 display cable adapter, but i am unable to get all 3 screens to work. By playing with the multiple display setting options (extend and duplicate) and the Project Settings (Windows key +P) the only two options it has offered are:

1 monitor and my surface book screen, or

both monitors but no surface book screen.

Is there something i am not doing in other settings to allow all 3 to work at the one time?

    Hello Shane,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I appreciate you raising this concern to us, and I understand that you're having issues with projecting displays.

The Surface Book 3 supports up to two external displays. You can try the following steps to connect two external displays to your Surface Book 3:

    1. Connect the USB-C to dual display adapter to your Surface Book 3.
    2. Connect one of the Lenovo monitors to the adapter using DisplayPort or HDMI.
    3. Connect the second Lenovo monitor to the first monitor using DisplayPort or HDMI if it supports daisy-chaining.
    4. Go to the "Settings" app on your Surface Book 3.
    5. Click on "System" and then "Display."
    6. Under "Multiple displays," select "Extend desktop" to use both external monitors and your Surface Book 3 screen.

If you are still unable to get both external displays to work, you can try updating the graphics driver on your Surface Book 3. You can do this by going to the "Device Manager" and selecting "Display adapters." Right-click on the graphics driver and select "uninstall." Restart the Surface once done.

Please let me know how it goes and hopefully it helps!

    Best regards,

    Rolando S.
