Hi Leo,
Thanks for your reply. That's a bummer that this $4k computer is retiring so early (I think I got it about 8 years ago). I do have a Surface Studio 2+, which I bought after waiting for a 3. It's hard to figure out why MS wouldn't continue the line (still hoping they do). I held off on the Surface Studio 2, as it wouldn't support Windows 11 (at first, anyway, go figure)
My concern is any security issues with Windows 10 if that OS is retiring. I am a safe user, so I don't anticipate my actions causing me trouble, but if there are just OS vulnerabilities, I'd think about putting this PC out to pasture.
I'm considering the Surface Pro w/CoPilot, although I am more of a desktop guy than a tablet guy (I have a Surface Pro 4 that I like when I do use it). I'm trying to incorporate OneNote into my life, and I saw a YouTube video that it might be useful. The problem is that I'm in construction, so I worry a little bit about the environment.
Anyway, you can see that I've been doing as you suggested, in considering other compatible devices. I get brand loyal, and I moved into Surface with the Surface Book back when Sony dropped out of the PC realm (I was Vaio for many years from Windows 98, ME, XP, Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8). The Surface displays are why I've stayed with Surface (Book, Book 2, Studio, Studio Laptop, Pro 4, Studio 2+), and will. I wish they'd keep up with the internal hardware a little better, but I can't get enough of the monitor, so I accept it.
Thanks again for your reply!
Cheers,
GrandpaScott
