No evidence exists to support the claim that using a keyboard cover could harm your Surface laptop.

I advise ceasing to use the keyboard cover if your laptop security is truly that important to you. Thank you so much for responding to my question!

I have already been removing the keyboard cover whenever I close my laptop, but it's been impractical to do on a daily basis, hence why I was asking if it the damage was a possibility.

I will keep on doing so until I have a definite answer, as I really don't want to risk my laptop screen.

Additionally, it serves as a screen protector material.

In general, it’s important to keep your Surface Laptop clean and well-maintained to prevent any damage. Microsoft recommends using a soft lint-free cloth dampened with a little bit of mild soap and water, or screen wipes, to clean the touchscreen and keyboard frequently.
