Hi BethMasino,
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Community.
Surface Pro's is a 2-in-1 detachable of the Microsoft Surface series, designed and manufactured by Microsoft. 2-in-1 as it can be considered as a PC and Tablet. You may use it in Desktop mode or Tablet mode (Turn tablet mode on or off). It runs with Windows operating system (Windows 10 for Surface Pro 4). It is not an Android device but a Windows device.
You may see all the apps installed on the device in Windows Settings (Windows key + I) > Apps. You may also access these apps through the Start Menu (click the Windows logo on the left hand side of the Taskbar): See what's on the Start menu.
Regarding with the new Microsoft Edge browser, please make sure that your Surface Pro 4 is updated by running the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit and checking Windows Update. Microsoft Edge is an independent app and not part of your Office 365 (Microsoft 365) subscription. One way to know if the Edge browser you have is the new one is the logo. If you have this logo for your Microsoft Edge (below) then you have the new Microsoft Edge already. If not, you may download the new Microsoft Edge on this page: New Microsoft Edge Download.
