The batteries are not considered replaceable. Microsoft considers all Surface device not serviceable.

However if you are technically proficient batteries and other parts are available online.

Microsoft will replace a device for free under warrantee, after that they will replace it for a fee. Probably the better option for most people.

If you search online you can see how difficult it is to disassemble a Surface Book.

    Hi, HarendraFernando!

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Community and posting your inquiry. We understand you wish to upgrade your Surface Book 2's RAM and storage from 8GB/256GB to 16GB/512GB. I am afraid to inform you that it is not re-configurable. If you were able to purchase it just recently, kindly go back to the store where you bought it so you may be able to change it to the specs you're looking for. If it was bought some time ago, you may want to check with a local Microsoft Store to see about trading in your device.

If this answers your question, please let our Community know by marking this post as an answer. Otherwise, don't hesitate to respond to this thread if there’s anything else that needs to be addressed.

    Kind regards,

    Janette_Z
