High/Ultimate Power Plan on Surface Pro 7

Hi 

I was wondering how to enable High/Ultimate power plan on surface pro 7!

I only have balanced listed, and when I type the code into powershell to unlock ultimate mode, it still doesn't appear.

In the regedit, CSEnabled is at 0 on defult, not much else I can do.

Any help would be appreciated!

    Hi

    I tried this and I still do not have any options other than 'Balanced' power plan.

    Hello TeamsUserJoseph,

    Thanks for reaching Microsoft Community and posting your concern.

    Windows 10 Ultimate Performance power plan won't show by default unless you're using the operating system's Workstation edition. To enable it, we suggest to do these methods:

    • Open Command Prompt as administrator. Type “CMD” in the start menu, right-click the “Command Prompt” field, and choose “Run as Administrator”.
    • Enter this command:**powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02-d5df-448d-aa00-03f14749eb61 .**Press Enter to run it and wait for the “Power Scheme GUID: XXXX XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXX (Ultimate Performance)” message.
    • Then, in the Start Menu, type “Choose a power plan” and select the relevant settings dialog.
    • Windows 10’s Ultimate Performance mode should be tucked away at the bottom of your “Selected plan” subheading. Select it and you’re ready to go.

    Microsoft removed the CSEnabled function with an update. Take a look at High performance Power plan missing. - Microsoft Community and subsequent replies. Microsoft does not recommend changing the default settings (and others report this dramatically impacts battery life). 

    Is there a specific reason that balanced is not working for you?
