I just got surface pro 7 , the screen has a yellow tint after logging in , after searching the web for this problem I found out that a lot of people have the same issue with surface pro

I tried a lot of things to fix this , nothing seems to work.

I tried all the color profiles, display color calibration, but still the same problem.

how can I fix this , is it software or hardware problem ?

    Hi YaqeenSalim,

I have the same problem with you. I solved it by disable "Surface panel filter" in the device manager. Then the screen tint will not turn yellow after login. But that will also disable brightness control.

I think it is common problem for surface pro 7 cause by the device "Surface panel filter".

If you don't want to lose functionality (ie brightness control) follow these steps as they work perfectly (at least they did for me).

    Hi YaqeenSalim,

Thank you for reaching out  Microsoft Community. We are sorry to know that the Surface device you just got has a yellow tint on it's screen.

The discoloration on the screen of your Surface Pro 7 could be a hardware problem and to confirm if it is, we would like you to access the UEFI setting of your Surface device .

To boot the device to the UEFI screen, kindly press and hold the Shift key on the keyboard and go to the Power icon and choose Restart. Once you are in the Choose an option screen, click Troubleshoot > Advance options > UEFI Firmware Settings then clickRestart.  In the PC information or UEFI environment, check if the yellow tint is still present, if it is, then this confirms that your Surface device really has a hardware display issue and we highly suggest to  contact our Global Customer Service phone numbers to get in touch with the Customer Suppo rt in your region for replacement options.

If it's not present in the UEFI environment, you can click Exit to restart your Surface device and you have to update your Surface to it's latest OS version.

    Here's  how:

    >> Run Surface Diagnostic Toolkit and check Windows Update

    >> Go to Settings > choose Updates and Security > selectCheck for updates. If there are updates available, kindly install the updates and click the restart now option on  that same screen once updates are already installed to restart your device and install the updates successfully.

If this answer your question, we highly encourage you to inform our Community by clicking on Yes or marking my post as an answer. This will help other members who may have the same issue as you. Otherwise, don't hesitate to update us so we can further assist you.

    Kind Regards,

sadly that didn't fix the problem either.

it's probably a hardware problem, I'm so disappointed.
