USB-C travel hub ethernet connection issues

Hi all,

Recently bought a Surface laptop and an Microsoft Surface USB-C Travel Hub.

As i'm working from home I want to connect a monitor and to my ethernet.

Monitor works fine.

Ethernet is not working fine, Wifi is working fine.

It stops working after a while.

First i thought is was a problem with external camera i had connected. But the problem is still there if i disconnect the camera.

I've removed all drivers reinstalled them, rebooted serveral times but nothing is working.

The connection works and suddenly stops with an error in device manager. After disconnecting the USB-C and reconnecting everything works again, but it is not stable enough to use.

Contacting online help is also not working, been waiting in the app for 3 day now for contact with a person :(

When it fails I get the following error.

Anybody with the same problem and was able to fix this?

regards,

Michiel

Same thing happen to me. I just bought it off microsoft store and tried it on my surface pro 7 plus. I received same error. Went online to search for help and tried every single method but non seems to be working. My surface pro is suppose to be the latest version but I am disappointed that such accessory couldn't be use.  The only port that I can get is the ethernet. The rest are not accessible at all.

On the other hand, I tried the travel hub to my old surface pro 5 connected to a usb c adapter. Surprisingly it works but that means I'm out of charging port should I use it on my pro 5.

Thank you. After installing the latest windows updates, which included, among other things, the new Surface Pro firmware, my status was corrected as well.
