why remove the SD card slot on the Surface Pro? did the designers not know it was there?

from the first Surface Pro until the Surface Pro 8 there was a SD card slot that worked really well for storing data. Then MS came out with the Surface Pro 8 and in the redesign the SD slot disappeared. Why? did the designers forget it was there since many owners did not know it was there? i talked to support and they say "well you can use the cloud" have these people ever traveled? have they ever tried to use the internet at most hotels? have they ever tried to use cell connection in most of the country? In many hotels we had to go into the hallway to get any connection and if i am in an old building like Hudson Yards in NYC or Liberty Station in San Diego, there is no cell connection! Then they say, well you can use an external connection. Again, why would i need to add a dongle to the limited USB slots or just need to remember to plug something in when i can keep a SD card in the slot all the time? how do we get MS to put the SD card slot back into the Surface Pro?

I agree, have been a regular surface user since the 4. Had the pro 7+ and loved the micro sd card slot. Have the pro 9 now and sometimes when i need to transfer my dashcam footages over, I have to use an adapter, which is annoying if I'm on the go.

Microsoft, please don't copy Apple by removing the features that your users want.
