Original Surface Laptop 6 Packaging

Hello

I just received what was advertised as a new Microsoft Surface Laptop 6 15" Touchscreen Notebook - Intel Core Ultra 7 165H - 16 GB - 512 GB SSD - Black. I noticed it is not in the typical white Microsoft box but packed in a standard brown box instead. It's also enclosed in a fabric like envelope but does not appear to be factory sealed in celophane. Is this the way Microsoft is packaging these products now? I'm concerned that it might be refurbished instead of new.

    Hello, OldSoul_71.

    Welcome to Microsoft Community!

Based on what you've described, the Surface Laptop 6 you're currently receiving does appear to be packaged differently than the traditional white packaging, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's a refurbished product.

Typically, white packaging is geared towards individual users. The brown packaging is for Business Edition users. The Surface Laptop 6 usually supports the Business Edition.

However, if you find any wear and tear or scratches when inspecting the exterior, you can contact after-sales support directly to request a return or exchange service to address your concerns.

These are just some of the thoughts I can share with you right now.

If you think what I've shared is valuable to you, you can click “Yes” or “No” below the reply to give me a brief evaluation of my service.

Thank you for your understanding and support of Surface products and the Microsoft community.

    Good day.

    Best Regards.
