Surface Laptop Go 2 doesn't charge

I have a Surface Laptop Go 2 with an empty battery. I want to charge it so I plug in the charger. When I do this the LED of the charger turns on for five seconds then turns off, turns on for five seconds then turns off... and again, and again. As this is blinking, I'm assuming that the laptop is taking charge but when I turn it on it always shows a battery indicator indicating that the battery isn't charged.

Is there a way to fix this and to make the computer charge again?

This is working with another USB-C charger so the problem comes with the original charger.

    Thanks.

    Hi Raphael,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I'm Hahn and I'm here to help you with your concern.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your Surface Laptop Go 2 not charging. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

    • Check the charging cable: Make sure the charging cable is securely plugged into both the power outlet and the Surface Laptop Go 2. Also, check for any damage to the cable or the charging port on the laptop.
    • Reset the Power Connector:
    • Unplug the power connector from your Surface Laptop Go 2.
    • Plug it back in, but turn it over this time.
    • Check if the LED on the charger stays on.
    • Wait for up to 10 minutes to allow the device to start charging.
    • Try a different charger: If you have access to another Surface charger, try using it to see if it charges your device. USB-C and Fast Charging for Surface - Microsoft Support
