Copilot voice is not working. How to fix this problem

I have a Microsoft laptop. And I started chatting with Copilot. I also logged in with that account on my iPhone. I also started using voice options in Copilot very well. I noticed the voice in Copilot is not working well; it started breaking, interrupting, and responding to its own questions. After that I only used the chatting option on the laptop. I have already reported the problem many times. I continued using Copilot’s voice on my phone, but after using it for some time, it stopped responding to my questions in voice, like it couldn’t hear me. There is no problem with my microphone, and it is allowed on Copilot. How to fix this problem.

Hi, I'm Ric, an independent advisor. I'm sorry you're experiencing this issue.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with Copilot's voice features across your devices. Here's how you can troubleshoot this:

    1. Check permissions again. Even if the microphone is allowed, double-check it:

For iPhone: Go to Settings > Privacy > Microphone, and make sure Copilot has access.

For Windows: Go to Settings > Privacy & security > Microphone, and ensure it's turned on for apps.

    1. Clear App Cache / Reinstall

On iPhone, try deleting the Copilot app and reinstalling it from the App Store. This often clears any corrupted settings or cache issues.

    1. Make sure both your iPhone and Copilot app are up to date. Voice processing bugs are sometimes fixed in newer versions.
    2. Even if the mic works in general, test it with another voice input app (like Voice Memos or Siri) to confirm it’s not app-specific.
    3. Try using Copilot in the browser to see if voice works there. This helps isolate if it’s a device or app issue.

If the problem continues, I recommend reporting it directly via the Feedback option in the app again, with a screen recording if possible.
