Hi, RickALO!
Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Community. We are sorry to learn you have issues with your wife's Surface Pro 7 not getting connected to the Internet after being able to establish a connection to your Wi-Fi. Thanks for taking the time to let us know about this.
If ever you receive a notification about a response made on your post and can no longer see it, it has been removed. That phone number was posted by a scammer trying to steal money from you. Whenever someone posts a number using funny fonts, strange characters, etc., you can guarantee they are doing so for a nefarious reason. If it was a legitimate number being provided with sincerity, we wouldn't have deleted it.
A brand new Surface device has a 1-year warranty and we never collect payment to send out a technician or provide assistance over the phone/chat.
Back to your concern, kindly check this https://support.microsoft.com/help/10741/ page to be guided on fixing Wi-Fi connection issues.
- You can also force shutdown the device and restart.
- Press and hold the power button until the screen turns off (about 10 seconds), then release the power button.
- Press and release the power button to turn your Surface back on. You should see the Microsoft logo.
If that doesn't work, here's how to make sure your Surface turns off completely:
Press and hold down the power button until your Surface restarts and you see the Windows logo screen (about 20 seconds), then release the power button.
Furthermore, please check https://support.microsoft.com/help/4023500/ if your Internet is still not connected even if you're connected to Wi-Fi.
Also try doing a Network Reset by going to **Settings > Network & Internet > Status >**scroll down and select Network Reset.
If this answers your question, please let our Community know by marking this post as an answer. Otherwise, don't hesitate to respond to this thread if there’s anything else that needs to be addressed.
Kind regards,
