Yes I do have critical data, but I have the Gen 1, and it didnt come with the usb-c, it has the mini display port.... So I have to wait till I can get a new one. Unless there is something else Im not thinking of?

This morning the screen froze and I did a reset as per Microsoft's instructions. Now it won't turn on - I see a black screen. When I press the power and the volume up buttons at the same time the keyboard lights up but the screen stays black.
