    Hello Adrian8115,

Thank you so much for posting in Microsoft Community.

I appreciate you raising this concern and I understand that you're having trouble installing Ubuntu on your Surface Go 4. It's important to note that installing Linux on a Surface device is not officially supported by Microsoft, and doing so may void your warranty. That being said, here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Make sure you're using a compatible version of Ubuntu. The Surface Go 4 uses an Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor, so you'll need to use a version of Ubuntu that supports that processor architecture.
    2. Try disabling Secure Boot in the Surface UEFI firmware settings. Secure Boot is a security feature that can prevent non-Windows operating systems from booting on the device.
    3. Check your Ubuntu installation media for errors. You can use a tool like Rufus to create a bootable USB drive with Ubuntu, and make sure that the ISO file you're using is not corrupted.
    4. If all else fails, you may need to restore your Surface Go 4 to its original Windows 11 Pro installation. You can do this by using the Surface recovery image, which you can download from the Microsoft website.

Again, please keep in mind that installing Linux on a Surface device is not officially supported by Microsoft, and doing so may void your warranty.

    Hope this helps!

    Best regards,

    Rolando S.
