I downloaded Netflix, Spotify, and Pinterest from the Microsoft Store and I want to pin them to my desktop. How do I do that?

    I figured it out!

So you have to click the windows button and click the "all apps" button on the top right of that menu and you should be able to freely drag all the apps over to the desktop screen.

The problem is not resolved by this instruction. We need the app to appear on the DESKTOP, not in the taskbar so how do we get it to appear on the desktop?

Your solution doesn't fit in with what I want to do which is to add the icon to the desktop. It disappears when I close the application.

    Hi savannah_m!

Thanks for reaching Microsoft Community. We're here to help and let's work on this together.

With your query on how to add new applications to your desktop, please follow steps below:

    1. Go to the Start menu and select More in the Recommended section.
    2. Scroll to the app you want to pin or search for it by typing the app name in the search box.
    3. Press and hold (or right-click) the app, then select Pin to Start.
    4. To unpin an app, select Unpin from Start.
    5. If the app is already open on the desktop, press and hold (or right-click) the app's taskbar icon, and then select Pin to taskbar.

Please let us know how it goes. We look forward to hearing from you.

    Greetings,

    RodelioP.
