I ended up returning my surface and am in the process of buying an Apple instead. No agent had an answer to my isssue of recalibration not working, and in the end they did not even answer me after I had tried all their suggested fixes. I loved my surface pro 4 and was excited to get the 7 when my 4 broke, but from what I see they haven't fixed this in pro 6 yet even, so I'm not gonna hold my breath on it being fixed anytime soon.
Surface Pro 7 Pen+Touchscreen Calibration
So I wanted to recalibrate my Surface Pro 7 Screen since I got a Screen Protector and felt like it lost some sensivity.
So I tried going into Tablet Settings Calibrate...
But All I get is an error sound and I never get to Calibration. I reset the PC completely already to 0, it still didn't help...
I did all Windows Updates and that didn't help either.
I ran the Surface Diagnostics Tool but it didn't find anything.
Is this a Hardware issue or is this supposed not to work? I found a few threads with a similar problem but never a fix nor a confirmation that this is actually intended.
Can anyone confirm that this is indeed "normal" or do I need to have my device replaced?

2020-08-11T07:04:33+00:00 let me reply since the odds that Microsoft will actually respond are next to zero.
If you read my post you can see I'm facing the exact same issue.
you are supposed to recalibrate your touch screen after applying a screen protector for better touch response.
I did this on my surface go with no problems but on the surface pro 7 this won't work as described.
This is clearly a firmware issue, one that should have been fixed months ago but as usual, Microsoft prefers to ignore issues and just charge outrageous prices for a touch device where, ironically, touch doesn't work properly.

2020-08-06T13:56:34+00:00 What is really sad is that the calibration actually works on the Surface Go 1 and 2 without any issues.
The fact that Microsoft chooses to make it work on its budget models but fails to deliver on the actual professional and expensive front is very bizarre...

2020-01-18T03:48:00+00:00 Hi Romsstar親分,
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Community and for bringing this concern with us.
I personally haven't tried this on a Surface Pro 7 but on a Surface Pro X, still I'm getting the same issue when press Calibrate then choose Pen/Touch input > Yes, I only get a notification sound. That is what you experienced also, right?
When tried running it on our other device, it is working but difference is that under Display : it is showing Surface Display instead of Surface Panel Filter which are the Monitor drivers of the devices respectively.
Allow me some time in raising this to Microsoft so we could provide you with a specific answer. we'll get back to you soon but for now, you may try to adjust the Pen Pressure also of the device using the Surface app. Just open the Surface app and choose the pen icon on the left side. If Surface app is not yet installed on your Surface, you may install it from the Microsoft Store app.
If this answer your question, we highly encourage you to inform our Community by clicking on Yes or marking my post as an answer. This will help other members who may have the same issue as you. Otherwise, don't hesitate to update us so we can further assist you.
Kind Regards,
Marrion Y.
