Hi, I just brought an old surface pro 4 is it ok for daily use? I installed a Windows Lite for it, it still has full features like windows hello, pens, and more. Here is the list that I wanted to use

  1. Photoshop CS6, Illustrator CS6, Adobe XD, Dreamweaver (2017)
  2. Minecraft (very low setting and tweaked)
  3. Roblox (same 2 the Minecraft)
  4. Bluestack (also same)

Mostly I use SP4 for drawing PS,AI , and watch online streaming every night

should I switch SP4 to Surface Pro 6 or books?

No idea of what "Windows Lite" is. The only supported OS is what came installed initially. You can use the downloadable recovery image to return to the originally installed OS and then you can update through Windows Update.

As to apps and programs, if your Surface meets the OS, RAM, video and CPU requirements of the programs you want to install, they should work. SP4 is an older and now discontinued Surface, certainly a newer model would perform better.

    To reimage:

    Go to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/surfacerecoveryimage

(with a different Windows computer if yours is not working properly)

and download a recovery image for your Surface. You will need a 16GB or 32GB USB stick (also called a flash drive) formatted FAT32 (use a Windows computer).  You can't use an actual external USB hard drive for this and don't use anything larger than a 32 GB USB stick. Best to purchase and use a new, previously unused USB stick for this. Use FULL format and not quick format and give the volume a name like surfboot. Unzip/extract the recovery zip to the root of the formatted USB stick.

There are full instructions and a video at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4023512/surface-creating-and-using-a-usb-recovery-drive#download
