Does surface pro 11 edition support data plan?

The Surface Pro 11 comes with eSIM and a SIM slot. However, if you use Verizon, it does not work. Verizon will not recognize the IMEI of the device. I used my SIM from a MIFI, and it worked for a couple hours before Verizon shut it down. I had to go back to MIFI. You would think that when Microsoft launches a 5G product, they would have the major carriers support the device or at least publish that it only works on certain carriers.

The Surface Pro 11th Edition 5G option, which will be available in fall 2024, has a SIM card slot for 5G connectivity. You can use a nano SIM card from your mobile operator to connect to a cellular network.

Only the Platinum Surface Pro 11th edition and it must signify 5G on the label.

I found this out the hard way at Best Buy and ended up having to return the black surface pro 11 and order the 5G directly from Microsoft. Luckily, Microsoft has great bundling discounts.
