Enable AOAI_AUDIO_AND_VISION_PREVIEW for GPT-4o audio & vision

Problem Description

• Please enable the preview feature AOAI_AUDIO_AND_VISION_PREVIEW on my subscription so I can deploy the GPT-4o audio/vision models.  

• Subscription ID: a80ada5a-d644-4792-940d-089851129f1b  

• Azure OpenAI resource: ai-phone-openai-se (Sweden Central)  

• Business impact: development blocked – we are prototyping a duplex phone assistant (Vonage ↔ GPT-4o real-time audio).  

• Attempted to deploy gpt-4o-mini-realtime-preview, received error .  

• E-mailed on 22 Jun 2025 (no reply). Requesting support team to allow-list this subscription.

Hi K R

Gpt4o audio preview models do not seem to be Gated.

Please check the region availability for different deployment type (East Us2 and Sweden Central for Audio preview models in Global Standard)

You can use Global standard deployment for Audio preview and other GPT 4o models.

Please check model deployment availability with respect to different deployment (global standard, Standard, Global batch etc.) here on below page.

You can always create support quota ticket or submit details on quota increase form as Chris suggested.

    To proceed, please review the following recommendations:

    Verify Regional Availability GPT-4o audio and vision models are currently supported only in select regions. Please ensure that Sweden Central supports the specific model variant you are attempting to deploy. You can find the most up-to-date regional availability here: Azure OpenAI – Model and Region Availability

    Submit a Quota Request If your subscription is already eligible but you're encountering deployment errors, you may need to request the appropriate quota for audio or vision model SKUs. Instructions are available here: Requesting Quota Increases – Azure OpenAI

    Escalate via Support Ticket If you have not received a response to your outreach, we recommend opening a support quota ticket through the Azure Portal. This will allow the support team to directly review your subscription and assist with allow-listing or quota assignment as needed.
