In Windows 11, I have successfully set up my printer. Test print works just fine. But when I try to print from a document - the default is set to "print to a file"
I want to print the document via the printer - the web answer to turn off 'print to file' default is to go to FILE - PRINT, and turn off 'Print to File" box. When I go to FILE - THERE IS NO 'PRINT' option present in the FILE box. How do I turn off 'Print to File'???

After hitting print the print options box pops up.

Across the top you have your printer selected then there is a PROPERTIES and ADVANCED button.

    Select the ADVANCED option.

Second line down, again, your printer is selected then there is a "Print to File" box and a "Print As Image" box.

Select only the "print As Image" box.

Click OK and print as usual. Worked for me

Which printer you have? In the Print dialog box for your specific printer , look for an option that prints to file. Now uncheck this option. You may also want to check the documentation at the printer's manufacturer site.
