A lot of those updates are Surface specific. Try going to
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=57514 and download and
run SurfacePro6_Win10_17763_20.033.37286.0.msi - after installing the MSI,
restart twice. Now try Windows Update again. What exact errors do you get at
    this point?

    Hi James Ang'anya,

Thank you for reaching out Microsoft Community. We're sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you.

What I'd like you to do to initially troubleshoot this issue is to run the system file checker to check if there are corrupted systems files that are just looping around causing those pending updates not to be installed completely. To run the system file checker, kindly type CMD on the search next to the Windows icon and run it as administrator. Once opened, type and enter sfc /scannow. Let it load, detect and repair those corrupted files. After running SFC, kindly run theSurface Diagnostic Toolkit.

Once you're done running SDT, kindly go back to Settings and check if you can install those pending updates for your Surface device. If installation fails, you can try to search those KB updates in **Windows Catalog**and do the manual installation.

If this helps, feel free to mark this post as an answer. Otherwise, don't hesitate to respond to this thread if you need further assistance.

    Kind Regards,

    Crest_Z

    Hi, James Ang'anya!

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Community. We are sorry to learn you that your Surface Pro 6 wont install the Windows Update. Thanks for taking the time to let us know about this.

Kindly do these steps to troubleshoot the issue:

    • Force shutdown the device and restart.
    1. Press and hold the power button until the screen turns off (about 10 seconds), then release the power button.
    2. Press and release the power button to turn your Surface back on. You should see the Microsoft logo.

If that doesn't work, here's how to make sure your Surface turns off completely:

Press and hold down the power button until your Surface restarts and you see the Windows logo screen (about 20 seconds), then release the power button.

    • Run the Troubleshooter.

Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Windows Update, then run its troubleshooter.

    Kind regards,
