Why has the value of rewards points been reduced?

Since the beginning of November 2023 I have noticed that the value of many rewards activities have been drastically reduced.

For example I now have offers to complete the Daily Trivia or Complete the Puzzle for a massive 1 point. This used to be 20 or 30 points and was an incentive to complete such things. I am now less inclined to select these activities because it is just not worth it.

I have tries logging out and signing back in but this hasn't resolved the issue.

I also have many missing points from Daily Streaks as sometimes I access Microsoft Rewards using my phone and not at my desktop. By doing this my daily streaks are re-set back to zero even when I had 30 or 40 days in a row on my desktop. Both methods sign in suing the same account so I can only assume it is a glitch.

Finally the Daily Check-In has never progressed past Day 1 when I access Rewards, let alone get to Day 7 to earn a surprise.

Please advise how best to proceed.

I agree, theres no point and its a waste of everyones time. Its so bad to the point i am not getting my search points at all. After I am done redeeming i am quitting microsoft rewards because this is just frustrating to its users.

Yes same thing i used to get a 10 dollar giftcard from walmart for 6500 points, now they doubled it so it's very greedy. changes are made to benefit a billion-dollar company. I guess the big shots need their million-dollar bonuses so their kids can have 7 cars, one for each day of the week, and another house in the Cascades so they can have Christmas with snow, then fly back to the Netherlands to hide away in their mansions. All corporate greed is a sick virus but will end.

I have been saving points for three years for a down payment on a computer. Now it costs 95K points instead of 91K points for a $100 Microsoft gift card. The card must be used within 90 days.

It would be helpful if we were given advance notice of changes so we could redeem at the better exchange rate.

    Hello Andrew,

    I am Jaspreet Singh.

The reduction of points is not an issue with your account. The rewards team has reduced the value for everyone worldwide.

Regarding the daily check in option have you tried using a different browser to see if that is recognised?
