Bing refuses to let me read news articles unless I download their stupid app!

Microsoft completely refused to let me read news stories. I get a short bit unburred then an advert to download their app. No alternatives, either download or you dont read. 5% of the stories give me the option to keep reading. Microsoft really enjoy trying to milk profits at the expense of their consumers, if I can’t fix this I’ll happily find somewhere else to read my news stories. I’ve endured bing as it was a big part of my childhood but I can only show so much loyalty.

Thank you so much for your quick reply marco. Microsoft has ruined something that was very dear to me. I have been forced to now change the default browser on my phone to Google, it doesn’t feel the same but atleast I get what I want.

In the Middle East Bing forces curtails my research freedoms too. Very disappointed.

Yes I understand, I think Microsoft will have to make changes about this... I think it's a bad decision.

Like I say, you can let them know via the Feedback Hub, it's the easiest way for programmers to see your suggestion.

Hello , sorry about your problems about reading news on Bing. My name is Marco and I will do my best to help you.

Unfortunately, those who work for Microsoft probably won't see your comment, so you can go to the Windows Feedback Hub to have a better chance of one of them seeing it. To do this, in the Windows desktop, press Windows + F keys to access it.

I note that unfortunately you have to download the application to have full access to the news.

However, I can suggest some alternatives for reading news:

Google News: This is a news aggregator service developed by Google. It presents a continuous flow of articles organized from thousands of publishers and magazines.

Otherwise Apple News, Reuters or BBC News.
