Why is Microsoft Rewards limiting how much I can earn?

I've been doing microsoft rewards for around 2 years and I've gotten consistent points, but since last month Microsoft has been slowly degrading how many points I can get.

For example, they've been only giving 1 POINT now for each task I do instead of 10 points, basically no monthly punch cards, and they just deleted my edge search points.

Is this on purpose to limit how many points older accounts with more points can get?

(I dont want a "Thank you for your opinion, we are going to look into this issue" robot response please)

Its happening to me as well. I used to be able to receive up to 170 reward points, now it shows on reward board for 150 points. Also I have seen the same as others have mentioned... only 1 point per question, or correct reply or completed deed. I think there was also 3 points instead of 5 points. And, my 'searches', I don't think I ever received points for searches, nor by using its AI. But losing 10 points at the beginning is not right, its a rip-off.. 150 reward points instead of 170... WoW! Its hard enough to tally up reward points to amount to anything worthwhile. Now its almost ridiculously hard. So, why did it change?

same, my 10 point clicks are now 1 or 2 points. i thought i might have been bc i downloaded the microsoft app on my phone around the same time. but i guess i'll be doing my searching and news browsing on my preferred browser from now on. Without the point incentive, i feel like its a lot of click bait? boooooo

Lets face it, basically Microsoft did this rewards system to promote their search engine/product lines. so they have either gotten a market share they are comfortable with, or they are abandoning the promo for lack of return (much like the windows phones they practically gave away to get the product line "off the ground" !!!) . I'm not happy about it but they just dont want us points junkies on the books anymore lol.... RIP

OMG are you lot that tight?
The reduction a slowness is just putting me off from using Bing completley.
Also what is the point of the Mcrosoft rewards scheme when it is so restricted.
