Is Microsoft Cashback a scam?

I purchased a order from samsung.com via Microsoft Cashback and it immediately said my cashback is success. However, several days later, the cashback case even disappeared from the pending cashback category. I would not make that purchase without the cashback, and yes, I contact them via the Microsoft cashback webpage, and no one respond. So it does look like a scam. Any ideas?

I have been having an absolutely horrible time with this myself. I too believe it's a scam and would like to leave a complaint. I also purchased something that I would not have purchased if not for the cashback that was promised and I've been struggling to receive it for over a month now. I opened support requests twice and both times had it closed without resolution. Both times the representatives requested the same information multiple times, which was provided multiple times, and then they closed it, after requesting it again, though it was provided to them through image, invoice, order number, name of the company, price of the item, date of the purchase, etc.

This has been the worst experience I have ever had with customer service in my life and it's a shame because Microsoft usually presents itself as such a respectable company.

Update: They have not resolve the issue for over 4 weeks. All I get is the same automictic reply message again and again. Even though I have the screenshot of completing the cash back rewards, they just not even take a look.

In short: yes it is a scam. I will report them to platforms like BBB Better Business Bureau.

Thank you all for reply to thread!! You are the best

    Have a wonderful day folks!

    YES. :)

I've been using for weeks and recently I figured out that no transaction was ever recorded in my account. I thought maybe I was wrong, so to test, I placed another two orders where I made sure that I used Edge explorer and clicked on the "activate" and the explore shows good to go. No surprise, no cash back, or even anything in my account transaction history.

Total scam. don't waste your time.

Same thing with me. I've never received cash back for legit purchases. I scan the item in the store and receive the notification that it's a valid item. I scan the receipt after the purchase and it says "Declined" . I've reached out to support on several occasions and the few times I've received a response it's just get a canned message telling me to review the requirements.

I bought a 900.00 grill from Lowes, received the email stating that Microsoft Cashback was a success and that I should watch my email for payment. I received the email on August 21st. I'm still waiting for the response. I sent in a copy of the invoice and all requested paperwork on Oct. 18 when I complaied and still haven't received anything. I agree, I think the whole thing is a scam.
