We have a Xamarin app and Visual Studio for Mac Enterprise Edition.

Visual Studio for Mac version: 8.8.3 (build 16)
Xamarin Profiler version: 1.6.13-11

We're trying to profile our app but facing an issue. Here's our workflow:

  1. Select [Run] from the menu.
  2. Start Profiling.
  3. Profiler starts, we select the Allocations instrument.
  4. Set our configs.
  5. Hit the following error [An error has occurred, Runtime installed on device is too old. Deploy your app again with a newer version of Xamarin Studio]

I'm having the same issue when I use Motorola (Android 9) and Xiaomi (Android 10) devices, or an Android Emulator (Android 11), I'm attaching the logs created by the profiler.

I'm tired that the latest versions never work correctly, we have new versions more frequently but unstable. I remember when we upgraded from 2005 to 2008 then 2010 then 2012 and it worked, now one can be stuck for months with a no working version of a tool.

    Hi Urbanminded,

The oppo device is not supported in Microsoft Q&A forum. Maybe you could contact related oppo support about it.

    Best Regards, Dylan
