A program that grants points for using Bing search, which users can redeem for gift cards, sweepstakes entries, or charitable donations.
You're not the only one here to have that problem. Hoping there's a resolution soon Microsoft?

Today I noticed that when going to my home page, the reward points are showing as 1 & 2 in search category offerings that have alwayss been 5 or 10 reward points. What and why has this changed. Thanks for you help.

Thought I was the only one
Per another website I found, Microsoft is intentionally paring back on pretty much all the reward points they offer across the board for everything, as part of their 'evolving' based on 'customer preference'. Since I can't imagine a single customer, anywhere, clamoring for LESS points, this is Corporate-speak for "We no longer want this program, it's not profitable and we don't see it worth our time, so we're trying to disincentive people from using it so that we can kill it entirely".
Basically, MS is being intentionally cheap and stingy in order to afford those executive bonuses, and just in time for Christmas :-)
I forsee this entire program being gone within 12 months personally. Redeem what you can, while you can.
Approximately two weeks ago, people were having problems earning search points on their mobile phones. I filed a complaint with Microsoft, and they told me it was a known issue, and were working on it. It took three days for the problem to be resolved, yet Microsoft/Bing, never gave people the rewards points they would have earned, had the site been working properly.
Now they've turned into Scrooge at Christmas, reducing the points you can earn to 1 or 2 points. Not only that, but I tried to redeem points yesterday for Amazon gift cards, and ended up being blocked after the fourth redemption, and told my account had to be reviewed, and that it could take up to 24 hours. Today the fifth reward request finally showed up in my mailbox. I then submitted a sixth redemption request, and have yet to receive an email for it. My order history shows it is still in progress. When I tried to order a seventh request, I once again got the message that my account had to be reviewed before they could process it. I still have points I want to redeem, but can't because there is a block on my account from doing so. This problem is inexcusable.
I've been a member here for many, many years, and always save my points to redeem multiple Amazon $10 gift cards at the same time. In the past, once the initial request was verfied, I had no issue redeeming up to 10 requests, one after the other. The last time I redeemed points for Amazon gift cards was in April of this year. This recent redemption problem is just one more, in a string of issues that have plagued Bing for years, and it's only gotten worse. Now, they won't even let you redeem the points you've already earned, and are restricting you as to the number of redemptions you can make. In the end, the aggravation you have to go through in order to redeem the points they allow you to earn, isn't really worth it anymore. It's time wasted that you will never get back in your life, and nobody, especially not Bing is going to reimburse you for the time you lost dealing with its many issues and restrictions.
Back to Google then.
